Baseball Game Preview: Redwood Giants vs. San Rafael Bulldogs

For the second straight game, Redwood will face off against San Rafael. Redwood will be playing in front of their home fans against San Rafael at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Redwood's pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so San Rafael's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Redwood is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on San Rafael with a sharp 15-4 win on Tuesday. The Giants not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 3, 2024.

Jack Moseley was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Theo Trono and Miles Harrison did most of the damage at the plate: Trono scored three runs while going 3-for-5, while Harrison got on base in three of his five plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those three RBI gave Harrison a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Sam Gersch, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-5.

San Rafael's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Redwood, the victory got them back to even at 4-4-1.
