Volleyball Recap: Hanson Takes a Loss

Hanson was the 3-1 winner over Wagner when they last played one another back in November of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Beavers fell just short of the Red Raiders by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Hanson wouldn't go down easily and took Wagner into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking two-point loss. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-22, 21-25, 23-25, 16-14.

Hanson's loss was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 5-14. As for Wagner, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hanson will welcome Kimball/White Lake at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Wagner, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Elk Point-Jefferson at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
