Basketball Recap: Eastmoor Academy Comes Up Short

Eastmoor Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 39-32 to the Briggs Bruins. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bruins apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February.

Eastmoor Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Briggs, they pushed their record up to 4-6 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eastmoor Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Thomas Worthington at 7:30 p.m. on January 6, 2025. Briggs and Patriot Prep Academy will round out the year against one another at at 7:30 p.m. on December 27th. Patriot Prep Academy's defense has only allowed 26.8 points per game this season, so Briggs' offense will have their work cut out for them.
