Football Recap: Battle Takes a Loss

Battle fell victim to Rock Bridge and their airtight defense on Friday. They had to suffer through a 64-0 loss at the hands of the Bruins. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri football rankings (they are ranked 197th, while the Bruins are ranked 44th).

Battle's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Rock Bridge, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Looking ahead, Battle will host Jefferson City at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Spartans will be up against the Jays' rather soft defense (which has allowed 29.43 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Rock Bridge, they will venture away from home to square off against Hickman at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Kewpies will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Bruins surely won't give up without a fight.
