Newfound Regional came into Tuesday's game having lost nine straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 47-38 win over the Mascoma Royals on Tuesday. The Bears' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Mascoma's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Molly Gray, who posted eight points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lyla Jacobson, who scored eight points.

Newfound Regional's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-9. As for Mascoma, their loss was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-11.

Newfound Regional will be playing at home against Winnisquam at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Mascoma has already played their next matchup (against Fall Mountain), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
