Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Ceres). They blew past the Grace Davis Spartans 18-3 on Wednesday. Considering the Bulldogs have won five matches by more than eight runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Alizae Cole made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Cole was even better at the plate, going 4-for-5 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. What's more, she posted three RBI, the most she's had since back in February.
In other batting news, Ceres let Ava Montesdeoca and Gabriela Ortiz run wild. Montesdeoca fired off two home runs, five RBI, and three runs while going 2-for-5, while Ortiz scored four runs and stole four bases while going 3-for-4. Those four runs gave Ortiz a new career-high.
