Northwest Christian waltzed into their contest on Thursday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They put the hurt on the Gilbert Christian Knights with a sharp 3-0 victory. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 3-1 victory back in September.

Northwest Christian never let Gilbert Christian on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-18, 25-21.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Northwest Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ava Parsons, who had 14 digs and two aces. Another player making a difference was Lily Brumbaugh, who had seven digs and two aces.

Northwest Christian's win bumped their record up to 21-5. As for Gilbert Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 23-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Northwest Christian will face off against Bourgade Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Crusaders are facing the Golden Eagles at the right time seeing as the Golden Eagles are stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Gilbert Christian, they will challenge Payson at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
