For the second straight game, Oak Grove will face off against North Davidson. Oak Grove will host North Davidson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Oak Grove is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.4 runs per game this season.

Oak Grove is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering North Davidson just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Black Knights by a score of 4-3.

Carson Everhart was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. He struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off eight hits (and only one walk). He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 2-for-3. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high.

Everhart wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Grayson Messer, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Messer also hit a double, marking his first of the season.

The victory made it two in a row for North Davidson and bumps their season record up to 3-9. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for Oak Grove, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 7-5.
