League recap: Graves County extends winning streak with victory over Warren Central

Graves County added to the longest winning streak in 5A District 1 this week by beating Warren Central, 28-27. The victory was the sixth in a row for the team.

Graves County and the Dragons played the most contested game in the league this week, with Graves County eventually emerging with a 28-27 victory. Cody Crider ran for 103 yards during the win.

Lance Gregory's team's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Peyton Puckett threw for 102 yards and Joey Marshall had 45 yards receiving. On the ground Crider contributed 103 yards. Jake Williams helped Graves County's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 31 yards.

Marshall was the best receiver in the league this week as the Eagles bested Warren Central. Marshall racked up 5 receptions for 45 yards. Williams helped Graves County's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 31 yards.

Graves County's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Eagles feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Puckett has thrown for 2,236 yards and 26 touchdowns this season, while Williams has 54 catches for 843 yards.

In 140 carries Vernon Porter has put up 926 yards this year.

Christian County lost to Bowling Green 48-7 last week, the largest margin of any game.
