CORE Butte can attribute much of their success to Mara Gonzalez, who had 12 digs and two aces. Those 12 digs gave Gonzalez a new career-high.

CORE Butte's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Oroville, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season.
