Flag Football Game Preview: Vanden Vikings vs. Vacaville Bulldogs + Official Tickets

Vanden has won five straight games at home, while Vacaville has won five straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Monday. The Vikings will host the Bulldogs at 5:30 p.m. The two teams have allowed few points on average (Vanden 7.5, Vacaville 6.1) so any points scored will be well earned.

Vanden's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They came out on top against River City by a score of 7-0. Given the Vikings' advantage in MaxPreps' California flag football rankings (they are ranked 211th, while the Raiders are ranked 423rd) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Vanden's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Amoura Hutton, who threw for 205 yards and one touchdown. The Vikings' leading receiver Cadance Holloway was Hutton's top target yet again, picking up 74 receiving yards and one score.

Vanden didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Madison Franks and Makenna Holloway. Franks is also on a roll when it comes to defended passes, as she's now defended at least one in each of the last eight games she's played. Another thorn in River City's side was Tatiana Llopis, who picked up five sacks and made six total tackles.

Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Vacaville against Pioneer on Wednesday as the team secured a 36-6 win. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won ten contests by 21 points or more so far this season.

Vanden's victory bumped their record up to 14-5. As for Vacaville, their win bumped their record up to 14-2.
