Basketball Game Preview: Mount Tabor Spartans vs. Parkland Mustangs

The Mount Tabor Spartans will head out on the road to square off against the Parkland Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mount Tabor will be strutting in after a win while Parkland will be coming in after a defeat.

Mount Tabor is headed into the match after thoroughly thrashing Reagan: they outscored them in every quarter. Mount Tabor took down Reagan 49-33 on Friday. The Spartans didn't have much to brag about two games back, but this victory makes it their second in a row.

Meanwhile, Parkland played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by Davie 71-43. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 207th, while the War Eagles are ranked 70th).

Mount Tabor's win bumped their record up to 7-14. As for Parkland, their loss dropped their record down to 14-8.

Mount Tabor couldn't quite finish off Parkland when the teams last played back in January and fell 58-55. Can Mount Tabor avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
