Live Oak had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt James Lick on Thursday. The Acorns put the hurt on the Comets with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory was nothing new for the Acorns as they're now sitting on ten straight.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Live Oak took every set by at least 25 points. The final score came out to 25-0, 25-0, 25-0.

Live Oak pushed their record up to 15-6 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. As for James Lick, they are on a 13-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.
