Softball Recap: Sherrard Picks Up Fourth Straight Win on the Road

Sherrard's rock-solid pitchers showed up for the team's third consecutive shutout on Thursday. They were the clear victors by an 11-0 margin over the Geneseo Maple Leafs. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won three matches by six runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Savanah Hauger, who went 3-for-5 with three doubles, two runs, and two RBI. Those three doubles gave her a new career-high. Nadia Anderson was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.

Sherrard's win was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average this season. As for Geneseo, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

Looking ahead, Sherrard will look to defend their home field on Monday against Morrison at 4:30 p.m. As for Geneseo, they will head out on the road to challenge Princeton at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
