For the Panthers, this counts as revenge for the 11-0 win the Stockaders walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Reid Wikel made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April. He was also big at the plate, going 3-for-5 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. He has become a key player for St. Mary Central Catholic: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 6-10 otherwise.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Blake Finneran, who went 3-for-5 with four stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. St. Mary Central Catholic is 5-2 when Finneran posts two or more runs, but 7-8 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Brayden Gill, who went 4-for-5 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.
