Volleyball Game Preview: Christian Patriots vs. Lincoln Hornets

The Christian Patriots will head out on the road to square off against the Lincoln Hornets at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Christian is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Crawford just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of the Colts by a score of 3-2. While the Patriots didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Colts 25-9 in the first set.

Christian started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 9-25, 20-25, 26-24, 28-26, 15-13.

Despite the loss, Christian had strong showings from Trae Pheasant, who had 12 digs and 12 assists, and Jack McGinnis, who had 15 digs.

Meanwhile, Lincoln came up short against Monte Vista on Friday and fell 2-0. The Hornets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While Lincoln was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-22.

Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 16-12. As for Lincoln, their loss dropped their record down to 11-7.

Christian might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Lincoln in their previous matchup back in March. Can the Patriots avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
