Basketball Recap: Ferndale Gets Big Win over Higher-Ranked Stoney Creek

Ferndale lost to Stoney Creek back in January, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Ferndale Eagles managed a 46-42 victory over the Stoney Creek Cougars. The win was all the more spectacular given the Eagles' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 221st, while the Cougars are ranked 62nd).

Ferndale's victory bumped their record up to 7-12. As for Stoney Creek, their loss dropped their record down to 13-6.

Looking ahead, Ferndale will challenge Oxford at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Stoney Creek, they will square off against Lake Orion at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
