Volleyball Recap: Harmony Takes Down Lake Nona in a Playoff Battle

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Harmony walked away with it. They had just enough and edged out the Lake Nona Lions 3-2. This was payback for the Longhorns, who suffered a 3-2 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Sylus Cory paced Harmony's offense, picking up 17 kills. Cory got some help from Jameson Benken and his 36 assists. Finally, Brayden Buehler kept Harmony's defense grounded, leading the team with six blocks.

Harmony has been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season. As for Lake Nona, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-14.

Looking ahead, Harmony will challenge Cypress Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bears will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Longhorns surely won't give up without a fight. Lake Nona does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
