Soccer Game Preview: Calhoun vs. El Campo

The Calhoun Sandcrabs will square off against the El Campo Ricebirds at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Calhoun's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They came out on top against Palacios by a score of 2-0. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but the Sandcrabs were the better team in the second half.

Daniel Solano was the driving force of Calhoun's attack as he scored both of Calhoun's goals, bringing his season total up to six goals.

Meanwhile, El Campo entered their tilt with Columbus on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Cardinals 3-0. The Ricebirds might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by three goals or more this season.

El Campo is also on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 22 goals over those five matches. As for Calhoun, the victory got them back to even at 4-4-1.
