Baseball Recap: Lyons Lions vs. Willowbrook Warriors

Lyons easily dispatched Hinsdale Central on Thursday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Lions fell just short of the Willowbrook Warriors by a score of 4-2 on Saturday. The Lions were not able to make up for their loss to the Warriors from their previous meeting back in May of 2021.

Lyons got a good showing from Luka Luburic, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. That's the first time Luburic hasn't allowed a single earned run over his last four matches.
