Soccer Game Preview: May River vs. Savannah Country Day

The May River Sharks will square off against the Savannah Country Day Hornets at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.

After dropping their season opener at home, Savannah Country Day is headed out to face a May River team ready to give their home crowd a win. May River fell just short of Pinewood Prep by a score of 2-1 on Friday.

Meanwhile, while the 2-2 score might suggest a draw, it was Savannah Country Day who was credited with the victory on Tuesday. Savannah Country Day got it done in the shootout by posting 11 goals to St. Andrew's ten. The Hornets haven't had any issues with the Lions recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

May River came up short against Savannah Country Day in their previous meeting back in March of 2018, falling 2-0. Can May River avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
