Basketball Recap: Burnet Takes a Loss

Burnet lost against Fredericksburg back in November of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Burnet Bulldogs were beaten by the Fredericksburg Billies 67-34. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 537th, while the Billies are ranked 39th).

Burnet's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Fredericksburg, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 15-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Burnet will be home for the holidays to greet Blanco at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. Burnet is facing Blanco at the right time seeing as Blanco is stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Fredericksburg, they will be playing at home against Salado at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
