Football Game Preview: Houston Tigers vs. Liberty Eagles

Houston hasn't had much luck against Liberty recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Tigers will head out to challenge the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Houston has given up an average of 28.8 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

It was a proper cat-fight when Houston challenged Mountain Grove on Friday. The Tigers were beaten by the Panthers 46-13. The Tigers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-7.

Although Houston took the loss, they still got scores from Aaron McCarthy and Dillon Shelton.

Meanwhile, Liberty got themselves on the board against Salem on Friday, but Salem never followed suit. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Tigers 36-0. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Houston's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Liberty, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.

Houston was dealt a bruising 42-0 loss at the hands of Liberty when the teams last played back in November of 2024. Can the Tigers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
