Baseball Recap: Pottstown Victorious

Pottstown took a 12-run defeat the last time they faced off against Norristown, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Trojans' pitchers stepped up to hand the Eagles a 1-0 shutout on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Trojans have posted against the Eagles since April 10, 2017.

Pottstown saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Reece Murphy, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases. That's the most stolen bases Murphy has posted since back in March of 2024. Shawn Pallay was another, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

Pottstown's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Norristown, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.
