Baseball Recap: Valor Christian Snaps Six-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Valor Christian dropped their record down to 11-11 on Thursday, which also ended the team's six-game streak of wins at home. They lost 15-2 to the Arvada West Wildcats. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Eagles couldn't push the score so high this time.

Brigham Brown was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI.

As for Arvada West, the victory was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 18-2-1. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matches by six runs or more this season.

On Arvada West's side, they got a massive performance out of Levi Lueck, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three RBI and two runs. That's the most RBI Lueck has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Cooper Vais, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, two doubles, and one RBI.

Coming up, Arvada West will be playing at home against Ralston Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Valor Christian will be paying especially close attention to the Wildcats' contest: after the Wildcats face off against the Mustangs, they'll take on Valor Christian again at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
