Recap: Graham Local Falcons vs. Urbana Hillclimbers
The Graham Local Falcons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They took a hard 77-61 fall against Urbana. While losing is never fun, Graham Local can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 491st, while Urbana is ranked 142nd).
Peyton Mounce was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 29 points and 15 rebounds for Urbana. That makes it five consecutive games in which Mounce has scored at least 25% of Urbana's points. Another player making a difference was Lyza Forson, who scored 19 points.
Graham Local's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-5. As for Urbana, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 10-1.
Graham Local won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Allen East at 1:30 p.m. on December 30th. Allen East is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games. As for Urbana, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Bellefontaine at 7:30 p.m. Bellefontaine has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
