Volleyball Recap: Larkin Comes Up Short

Larkin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wheeling Wildcats. If the Royals were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Wildcats when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-5.

Larkin's defeat dropped their record down to 2-24. As for Wheeling, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-10 record this season.

Larkin will take on Zion-Benton in a tournament on Saturday. As for Wheeling, they will be taking part in a tournament against Grayslake Central at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
