Soccer Recap: Atascadero Comes Up Short

Atascadero lost against Templeton back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Atascadero Greyhounds took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Templeton Eagles.

Atascadero's goal came courtesy of Kade Silva, which was the first he's scored this season.

Atascadero has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-8-2 record this season. As for Templeton, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-5-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Atascadero will welcome St. Joseph at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. St. Joseph is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.1 goals per game this season. As for Templeton, they will host Santa Ynez at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Santa Ynez's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
