Volleyball Recap: Hauser's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Hauser came into Saturday's contest having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against the Brown County Eagles by a score of 2-0 on Saturday. This was a revenge game for the Jets: when they faced off against the Eagles last Tuesday, they had to take a 3-1 loss.

Hauser never let Brown County on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 27-25.

Charleston Gelfius paced Hauser's offense, picking up eight kills. Gelfius got some help from Leah Manley and her 18 assists. Manley was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

When it comes to explaining why Brown County lost, don't look at Zoe Jackson. Despite the final result, she had 17 digs.

Hauser's win bumped their record up to 7-20. As for Brown County, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-9.

Hauser didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against North Decatur on the 30th. As for Brown County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Milan on the 27th.
