Football Recap: Adair Warriors vs. Wyandotte Bears

Adair put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against the Wyandotte Bears as the Adair Warriors made off with a 40-14 win. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matches by 26 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Adair to victory, but perhaps none more so than Cooper Mccord, who threw for 203 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 108 yards. Another pass catcher making a difference was Derek Bailey, who picked up 127 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Adair was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 253 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Wyandotte only rushed for 23.

Adair didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Ethan Mccord and Cole Moody.

Although Wyandotte took the loss, they still got scores from Garret Morgan and Mason Brown.

Adair pushed their record up to 9-0 with the victory, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 43.3 points per game. As for Wyandotte, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-3.

Adair will venture away from home to challenge Commerce at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Adair is facing Commerce at the right time seeing as Commerce is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Wyandotte, they will head out to face off against Keys at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Wyandotte is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 27.3 points per game this season.
