Volleyball Recap: Whitmer Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Whitmer challenged Northview on Tuesday. The Panthers lost 3-0 to the Wildcats. The defeat continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Wildcats: they've now lost eight in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-19, 25-14.

Northview's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jade Hagan, who had 14 digs and two assists. Hagan is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least 11 every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Alayna Sauer, who had 29 assists and ten digs.

Whitmer now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Northview, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 3-2.

Whitmer didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Perrysburg on the 28th. As for Northview, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against St. Ursula Academy on the 28th.
