Basketball Recap: Rosary Takes a Loss

Rosary was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. The match between them and the Marian Central Catholic Hurricanes didn't end well, with the Rosary Royals falling 59-43. If the Royals were looking for revenge after losing 47-31 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

It was another big night for Juliette Huff, who went 8 for 15 on her way to 24 points for Marian Central Catholic. The contest was Huff's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Adriana Wrzos, who went 8 of 18 en route to 18 points and five rebounds.

Rosary's defeat dropped their record down to 5-15. As for Marian Central Catholic, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-11.

Rosary won't have much time to rest: their next game is against St. Laurence at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Marian Central Catholic, they will also get right back to it: they'll square off against St. Edward at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
