Recap: Pace Academy Knights vs. Westminster Wildcats
The Pace Academy Knights scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They walked away with a 74-63 win over Westminster. With that victory, Pace Academy brought their scoring average up to 51.2 points per game.
Pace Academy found their leader in underclassman Lawson Monroe, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 13 rebounds. Xian Williams was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Pace Academy's victory bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Westminster, their loss dropped their record down to 10-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pace Academy's homestand continues as they prepare to take on McDonough at 6:00 p.m. on January 19th. McDonough is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Westminster, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Holy Innocents Episcopal at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
