Softball Recap: North Moore Has No Trouble Against Graham

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Seaforth, North Moore was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Graham Red Devils with a sharp 16-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Mustangs, who have now won four matchups by nine runs or more so far this season.

Sydney Russell made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs.

In other batting news, Carly Monroe was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Tate Allred was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.

North Moore always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .696. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

North Moore's record now sits at 6-2. As for Graham, they are on a 24-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

North Moore wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, an 8-1 win against Montgomery Central on the 19th. As for Graham, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 18-3 defeat against Northwood on the 19th.
