Baseball Recap: Whitfield Takes a Loss

Whitfield scored first but ultimately less than Lutheran North in their game on Wednesday. They fell 12-7 to the Crusaders. The Warriors haven't had much luck with the Crusaders recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Whitfield saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Parker Walseth, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Another was Mark Portis, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

Whitfield's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Lutheran North, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Whitfield will face off against Priory at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Lutheran North, they will square off against Jennings at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
