Soccer Recap: St. Anthony Snags Third Victory in Last Four Games

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only St. Anthony walked away with it. Their defense stepped up to hand the Academy for Academic Excellence Knights a 3-0 shutout on Wednesday.

Andres Mendoza and Troy Novoa scored all three of St. Anthony's goals, bringing their combined season tally to ten goals.

St. Anthony is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-11-3 record this season. As for Academy for Academic Excellence, their loss dropped their record down to 8-7-3.

Coming up, St. Anthony will take on Pioneer at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Academy for Academic Excellence does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
