Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Manheim Township). They put the hurt on the J.P. McCaskey Red Tornado with a sharp 16-0 victory on Monday. The Blue Streaks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by six runs or more this season.

The result came thanks to Nolan Peters's shutout, as he gave up just two hits and racked up six Ks. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Jacob Carrasco was incredible, going 2-for-3 with four runs and one double. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. Lincoln Stoltzfus also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Manheim Township pushed their record up to 12-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for J.P. McCaskey, they are on a 16-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-16.

Manheim Township wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, an 8-2 win against Penn Manor on the 30th. As for J.P. McCaskey, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 9-8 victory against Cedar Crest on the 30th.
