After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Bunker Hill, West Lincoln was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the Foard Tigers 6-4. The Rebels have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Tigers, too.
Gabrielle Wright made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed seven innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off eight hits. Wright was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double. That double marked the first that she hit this season.
In other batting news, Payton Hood and Jada Willis did most of the damage at the plate: Hood scored two runs while going 2-for-3, while Willis went 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run was Willis' first of the season.
