Basketball Game Preview: Okemah Panthers vs. Henryetta Knights

The Okemah Panthers will take on the Henryetta Knights in a tournament on Thursday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Last Friday, Okemah came up short against McLoud and fell 78-65. The Panthers have struggled against the Redskins recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Henryetta also suffered a loss in their last game, but this one to Eufaula by a score of 58-51. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Okemah will have to contain Skylar Greenhaw as he made an impact in Henryetta's last game. He went 6 of 15 on his way to 21 points. Greenhaw's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Talon Weaver, who posted 13 points.

Henryetta now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Okemah, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Okemah came up short against Henryetta in their previous meeting back in February, falling 51-44. Can Okemah avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
