Flag Football Recap: Manteca Buffaloes vs. Oakdale Mustangs
Manteca entered their tilt with Oakdale on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They strolled past the Mustangs with points to spare, taking the game 25-7. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Buffaloes' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' California flag football rankings (they are ranked 211th, while the Mustangs are ranked 489th).

A big part of Manteca's victory came down to the chemistry between Lily Dundas and her top target Myah Hayter. Dundas threw for 198 yards and a pair of TDs while Hayter picked up 79 receiving yards and one score. Those 79 receiving yards gave Hayter a new career-high.
Manteca didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Hayter, Raniya Nelson, and Sari Lawson picked up one apiece. Hayter got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Manteca's record is now 12-6. As for Oakdale, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season.
