After a string of three wins, Windermere Prep's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They took a 68-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cardinal Mooney Cougars.

Cardinal Mooney got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kali Barrett out in front who went 5 of 11 en route to 16 points in addition to six steals and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Sy?Monique Simon, who went 6 for 7 on her way to 16 points.

Windermere Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 15-6. As for Cardinal Mooney, they pushed their record up to 11-9 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Windermere Prep will take on South Lake at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Windermere Prep knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully South Lake likes a good challenge. As for Cardinal Mooney, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 65-58 win against Lake Highland Prep on the 18th.
