Basketball Recap: Hawken Takes a Loss

Hawken was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 21st straight defeat dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 52-20 loss at the hands of the Perry Pirates. While losing is never fun, the Hawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 747th, while the Pirates are ranked 238th).

Hawken's loss dropped their record down to 0-14. As for Perry, they pushed their record up to 10-5 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hawken has already played their next game (against Hathaway Brown), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Perry will face off against Geneva at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
