Ayersville entered their tilt with Elmwood on Saturday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They never let the Royals get on the board and left with a 1-0 win. The Pilots' pitching crew has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a run in their last four contests.

Not much got past Kendra Waldron, who gave up just three hits and racked up 15 Ks to keep Elmwood off the board. Waldron has been consistent : she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Ayersville's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Aubree Limber, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Ayersville pushed their record up to 6-4 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Elmwood, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Coming up, Ayersville is taking a road trip to square off against Fairview at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Elmwood, they will be playing at home against Ada at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Royals will need to watch out since the Bulldogs have now posted at least ten runs in their last five matchups.
