Baseball Recap: Mingo Central Miners vs. Sherman Tide

Mingo Central extended their losing streak to four on Tuesday, dropping them down to 2-12. They lost 14-2 to the Sherman Tide. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tide this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-3 back in March.

Mingo Central saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Noah Newsome, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI. Keziah Joplin also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

As for Sherman, they pushed their record up to 16-6 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games.
