It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Elkins can now relate to. They lost 9-1 to the Hackett Hornets on Thursday. Elkins has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Elkins saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Charlee Tull, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. Tull has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't pitched less than five innings in eight consecutive pitching appearances.
Elkins' loss dropped their record down to 9-20. As for Hackett, the win (which was their 14th in a row) raised their record to 24-3.
As of now, neither Elkins nor Hackett have any future games scheduled.
