Flag Football Game Preview: Xavier College Prep Gators vs. Perry Pumas + How To Watch

The Xavier College Prep Gators will head out to face off against the Perry Pumas at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Xavier College Prep is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

Xavier College Prep's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They blew past St. Mary's, posting a 47-0 victory. The Gators might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by 28 points or more this season.

Xavier College Prep didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off six passes before the game was over. Imani Campbell led the group effort, picking up three of those interceptions all by herself. Zoie Alexander also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with seven. Portillo got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Perry fell victim to Red Mountain and their airtight defense last Wednesday. They lost 23-0 to the Mountain Lions. While losing is never fun, the Pumas can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona flag football rankings (they are ranked 53rd, while the Mountain Lions are ranked fourth).

Xavier College Prep's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Perry, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Xavier College Prep strolled past Perry when the teams last played back in October of 2024 by a score of 21-7. Will the Gators repeat their success, or do the Pumas have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
