Volleyball Recap: Dixon's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Five

Dixon hadn't done well against Lutheran recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Dukes & Duchesses walked away with a 2-0 win over the Crusaders. Winning may never get old, but the Dukes & Duchesses sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Dixon took both sets by at least 12 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-13.

Their offense was headlined by Izzy Queckboerner and Morgan Hargrave, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from Leah Carlson and her nine assists. Solis Thompson controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Dixon's victory bumped their record up to 12-2. As for Lutheran, their loss dropped their record down to 5-15.

Looking ahead, Dixon will square off against Newman Central Catholic at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lutheran, they will face off against Byron at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
