Softball Recap: Hickman County Comes Up Short

Hickman County lost against McCracken County back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Falcons came up short against the Mustangs, falling 10-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Falcons have suffered since April 12th.

Hickman County saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaylee Britton, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run.

Hickman County has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-8 record this season. As for McCracken County, the win was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 27-5.

Coming up, Hickman County will take on Carlisle County at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for McCracken County, they will challenge Graves County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (the Mustangs have won 12 straight at home dating back to last season, while the Eagles won three straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
