Basketball Game Preview: Baldwin Indians vs. Bradford Tornadoes

Baldwin is 1-7 against Bradford since January of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Baldwin Indians will take on the Bradford Tornadoes at 6:00 p.m. Both are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Baldwin is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They put the hurt on Englewood with a sharp 52-31 win on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Indians have posted against the Rams since December 3, 2019.

Baldwin's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Memphis Perkins, who posted 14 points. Those 14 points gave Perkins a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Nyrie Gabriel, who had ten points.

Meanwhile, Bradford came tearing into back in December of 2024's game with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Raiders 63-10. The Tornadoes have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Bradford's victory bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Baldwin, they now have a winning record of 7-6.

Baldwin won a contest that couldn't have been any closer in their previous matchup back in November of 2021, slipping by Bradford 50-49. Will Baldwin repeat their success, or does Bradford have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
