Baseball Recap: Independence Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Independence couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Frankfort Falcons on Thursday. The contest marked the Patriots' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Independence saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brady Williams, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run.

Independence's defeat dropped their record down to 28-9. As for Frankfort, the win (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 26-7.

Independence does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Frankfort, they will challenge Logan at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Falcons 2.6, the Wildcats 3.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.
